MEET KAPPA DELTA
Founded on October 23, 1897, at the State Female Normal School in Farmville, Virginia, Kappa Delta has a long standing tradition of fostering confidence, connection, and lifelong friendship. As the newest Panhellenic chapter at the University of Delaware, we’re excited to build a community where every member is encouraged to grow, lead, and make a meaningful impact on campus.
Service and philanthropy are at the heart of everything we do. Nationally, Kappa Delta proudly supports Prevent Child Abuse America and the Girl Scouts, while our local chapter partners with Prevent Child Abuse Delaware through our annual Shamrock philanthropy. Throughout the year, we host fundraising events, volunteer in our community, and work to create a safer, brighter future for children while giving back to the place we call home.
Kappa Delta focuses on empowering women to be confident leaders, supportive friends, and the best versions of themselves. We’re so excited to meet you during formal recruitment and share what makes Kappa Delta such a special place to call home!

HEAR FROM THEIR CHAPTER DELEGATE
Kappa Delta has brought me a whole new family that I never knew college could bring me. I’ve met the most incredible girls in the Panhellenic community, and I’m so grateful to help grow the chapter that has already given me so much. Being part of Panhellenic has shown me how special it is to support one another beyond our own chapters, and I’m excited to help future members experience the same sense of belonging that Kappa Delta has given me
