MEET KAPPA ALPHA THETA
Kappa Alpha Theta was founded in 1870 at DePauw University in Indiana. We were established at the University of Delaware in 1995, and have had a strong presence on campus ever since. By promoting leadership within our chapter, on campus, and supporting academic growth, Theta strives to shape all of our members into “Leading Women”. The Zeta Tau chapter is a fun group of diverse women rooted in service, scholarship, and sisterhood. Our philanthropy is Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA), a unique organization that assists abused and neglected children in the juvenile court system across the United States. We host multiple philanthropy events annually including the annual CASA 5K and Capture the Kite. In addition to our strong sisterhood, Theta prides itself in our involvement in the Greek community by participating in other chapters’ philanthropy events and holding numerous leadership positions on Greek Councils. Kappa Alpha Theta is so excited to meet all of you during formal recruitment and show you our strong and amazing sisterhood!

Not only has Kappa Alpha Theta given me lifelong friendships, but it has also helped me grow into a more confident version of myself. Through the encouragement of my sisters, I found my voice and embraced new challenges. Theta has taught me the importance of leading with integrity, serving others with compassion, and continually striving for personal growth. Surrounded by women who genuinely encourage and support one another, I’ve learned how powerful sisterhood can be. I’m incredibly grateful for the memories, growth, and friendships this chapter has given me, and I know my college experience would not have been the same without Kappa Alpha Theta.
