Involvement: The sisters of Alpha Phi hold an annual Red Dress Gala, where sisters and parents come together to raffle off gift baskets and auction items for the Alpha Phi Foundation. These women also host an annual Mac n Phi's, an all night event where sisters serve all-you-can-eat mac and cheese to students to raise money for the Alpha Phi Foundation. Believe it or not, the mac and cheese isn't all you can eat! The women of APhi host a pancake night too! The sisters flip pancakes at the house to serve to anyone that's hungry. The APhi sisters also host Mr. Alpha Phi, a fundraiser contest where Fraternity bothers compete in different talents to see who will be crowned Mr. Alpha Phi!

Sisterhood: Alpha Phi celebrated 50 years at UD in 2022 with more than 2,000 proud Blue Hen alums (and counting!) APhi was chartered at UD in 1972, making it one of the first sororities on campus, as well as the longest active chapter at UD. As current sister put it, “When you become an Alpha Phi, you get endless closets to “shop” in, tears in your eyes from laughing so hard and memories that’ll last a lifetime. This sisterhood is truly one of a kind and something that I can say has completely changed my college experience for the good."

Words from the Chapter President: "As the president of Alpha Phi, I am humbled by the honor of leading such an extraordinary sisterhood. Beyond the privilege of being surrounded by amazing women, I am grateful to witness the strength of our unity, the warmth of our connections, and the enduring bond that makes us truly one of a kind. In this role, shared laughter, memories, and the unbreakable ties of sisterhood create moments that resonate with the remarkable journey we share together as Alpha Phi women. Alpha Phi has shaped me into the woman that I am today and I am forever grateful for the beautiful people it has brought into my life and overall college experience."

HEAR IT FROM A SISTER:
Alpha Phi has brought me the privilege to meet such amazing young women and get myself involved in a group that benefits me in ways I never knew possible! I have been lucky enough to be given the opportunity to raise money for the Alpha Phi foundation through some of my favorite philanthropy events such as Mac&Phis and the Red Dress Gala. These events let our sisters bond and make so many incredible memories they will hold onto for forever!"
-Molly Dineen, Philanthropy Chair

"Joining a sorority has given me the opportunity to be a part of something bigger than myself. Building meaningful connections through our sisterhood events and contributing to fundraising efforts for the Alpha Phi Foundation has already provided me with valuable experiences and lasting memories."
-Madeline Wells, Philanthropy Chair
